About us.

The British Sauna Society is at the heart of the UK’s growing sauna culture. We exist to promote authentic sauna experiences, support operators and suppliers, and bring together a passionate and engaged community. As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, we're launching our Membership Programme - and we’re looking for a driven and personable Membership Manager to lead the charge.

The role.

This is a newly created role focused on launching, managing, and developing our membership scheme, both for individual enthusiasts and corporate partners. You'll play a vital part in shaping the future of the Society by growing our network, strengthening industry relationships, and driving revenue to support our mission.

Key responsibilities.

  • Membership platform and experience.

    • Oversee the setup and smooth running of our platform.

    • Own the relationship with SheepCRM, our technology partner.

    • Onboard new members and ensure a positive experience from day one.

  • Driving business memberships.

    • Develop compelling packages for sauna operators, practitioners and suppliers.

    • Proactively reach out to potential partners and build strong, lasting relationships.

  • Sales & revenue growth.

    • Work closely with the Directors to hit financial targets.

    • Track performance, report on OKRs, and refine strategies as needed.

  • Community engagement.

    • Act as a point of contact for members and partners.

    • Support events, collaborations and campaigns that bring value to our members.

Requirements.

  • Has proven experience in sales, business development, or membership management.

  • Is a natural relationship builder with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Understands the value of community and collaboration — ideally with a passion for wellness or sauna culture.

  • Is comfortable using digital tools and has basic IT skills (experience with membership platforms or CRMs is a big plus).

  • Can work independently, prioritise tasks, and thrive in a startup-like environment.

  • Is UK-based and available for occasional travel to events or meetings.

What we offer.

  • Flexible, part-time and remote working.

  • Opportunity to shape a fast-growing organisation and movement.

  • Supportive, passionate team and a collaborative culture.
