Join us as we delve into the fascinating world of the modern aufguss ritual

In the simplest of terms, an Aufguss is a wellness experience that occurs in a sauna. It is led by an Aufgussmeister - they pour essential-oil-infused water onto the sauna's hot stones and use rhythmical towel movements to circulate the fragrant air.

The Aufguss WM is an international competition in the skill of aufguss - incorporating storytelling, towel waving, steam and much more...it's sauna theatre!

The British Sauna Society is developing a project to take the first UK team to the championship in 2023 - Deborah Carr (whom is leading the project) will be in conversation with Lasse to gain insight into what aufguss is and how we might imagine it developing for the UK audience.

Lasse Eriksen - on a mission to bring sauna to all people on the planet! A highly skilled and experienced sauna master whom is assisting the British Sauna Society with their project to take the first UK team to the Aufguss WM.

With background as Massage therapist, Aromatherapist and professional sauna master for over 25 years he is development manager of Farris Bad Spa Resort in Norway and consults around the world to bring sauna rituals to new audiences.
